Lesson Plan 1: What am I?

How does this fit into the curriculum? Life processes and living things (SC2) says that pupils should be taught that animals feed, grow, use their senses and reproduce (1b); that humans and other animals need food and water to stay alive (2b); and that students should recognise similarities and differences between themselves and others (4a).

Teachers' Note: Once your pupils have worked out which animals these poems refer to, ask them to write them down along with any similarities between themselves and the animals in question. Download the chart for them to work from or get them to draw their own chart. All their answers must be different (i.e. they cannot say 'needs food to live' in every box).
